Wolf Hill Guardian: how to reach Lupo
For “Approach the Guardian of Wolf Hill,” carry Jane’s Specially Prepared Hot Milk to Lupo’s cave at the back of Wolf Hill, southwest of Bloomfield. Climb to the top of the hill and descend the vines; the direct route is blocked by wolves. Walking up to Lupo with the milk in your bag starts the scene.

Prepare Jane’s Hot Milk first
This route belongs to Bloomfield Chapter 1, after the prologue. Speak to your childhood friend, then Fitz at the Animal Center. Rescue the wounded Cockatiel near the western watchtower, return to Betty, and select the bird under Animals in Your Care to board it. Betty then points you toward Jane.
Bring Jane one Milk. If your calf is still too young to produce it, Richard’s General Store sells one bottle a day for 500G according to the chapter walkthrough; waiting for the cow to mature is the alternative. Jane prepares the special drink. Do not drink or discard the quest item.
Reach the cave by climbing, then descending
- Set the Guardian task as your objective on the DocPad. Leave Bloomfield across the southwest bridge used in the prologue.
- Sneak past the wolves instead of forcing the direct approach. Head up to the top of Wolf Hill.
- Look for vines on the route down toward the back of the hill. Descend them to reach the cave side.
- Approach the sleeping Guardian with the prepared milk in your bag. The scene handles the offering; you do not need to find a separate manual gift interaction.
The first conversation with Lupo does not restore the village. It changes your goal to gathering Bloomfield Happilia. Follow that new objective before returning for the tree sequence.
A marker at the tree can mean a different task

If the Guardian scene has already played and the task now names the investigation, stop searching for a second milk delivery. Use the Happilia Bottle at the tree. If you have the correct objective and item but the scene still fails, the normal route above does not establish a verified bug fix.
Questions & sticking points
Why is there no wolf at the tree?
The first milk delivery takes you to Lupo’s cave. The Spirit Tree is the later investigation target. Read the active objective before choosing your destination.
Do I need to hold the Hot Milk?
The chapter walkthrough says carrying Jane’s prepared milk in your bag is enough when you approach Lupo.
